First Flight

This third and final inspiration piece I have written is based on John Powell’s score of the 2010 film, How to Train Your Dragon. This suite, First Flight, is very similar structurally and orchestrally. It is jaunty, whimsical, and sweeping, just like Powell’s masterpiece, but boasts multiple thematic differences. Please enjoy this musical rollercoaster, as you explore the journey of a boy who learns how to mount an eagle for the first time! (Isaiah 40:31).
